“A Key in a Pocket,” first edition

A collection “A Key in a Pocket” is a summary of the literary residency in Buchach. The book includes essays by the participants of the 2016 literary residency, Ukrainian authors Sofia Andrukhovych, Andriy Lyubka, and Yevheniya Senik. All texts in the collection attempt to draw attention to Buchach as a native town of a Nobel Prize laureate Shmuel Yosef Agnon, and generally to the topic of small towns and their literary heritage.

The book is a full edition with nine essays in Ukrainian, and three selected essays translated into English. The book is part of the project of a literary residency in Buchach initiated and organized by the Agnon Literary Center and supported by the Goethe Institute in Ukraine and the Ukrainian-Jewish Encounter foundation.
